Orange County duo Double Wish have returned with their new track, ‘Riptide’. As the title suggests, the track is designed to swell and fall away in a cycle. It’s a groovy track with a bright production style that feels warm in its stripped-back sections, and intense in its distorted moments. The track “was inspired by our personal experiences with surfing and time spent in the ocean. How something sublime can be so beautiful and refreshing, but also dangerous and unpredictable. The ocean is a bit of a metaphor here for the challenges of facing uncertainty, and the emotional forces that can pull you down.” The band are releasing their self-titled debut album on August 22nd, 2205, via Hit The North Records. -Dan Peeke
